Mental Health
Therapy
Mental health therapy, also known as psychotherapy or counseling, is a process that involves a trained professional helping individuals explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to promote emotional well-being. Through various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or mindfulness-based techniques, clients can gain insight into their challenges, develop coping strategies, and work towards personal growth. Therapy provides a safe and confidential environment where individuals can express themselves, process their experiences, and learn to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Ultimately, the goal of therapy is to empower clients to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Medication
Managment
Medication management is a vital component of mental health treatment that involves the careful prescribing and monitoring of psychiatric medications to support individuals in managing their mental health conditions. This process typically begins with a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional, who assesses the individual's symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. Based on this assessment, appropriate medications may be prescribed to alleviate symptoms related to conditions such as depression & anxiety. Ultimately, medication management aims to help individuals achieve stability, improve their quality of life, and empower them to engage more fully in their therapeutic journey.
Mental Health
Courses
Mental health courses are structured educational programs designed to enhance individuals' understanding of mental health issues, promote emotional well-being, and equip participants with practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. These courses may cover a variety of topics, including coping strategies, mindfulness practices, emotional intelligence, and the impact of lifestyle choices on mental health. The ultimate goal of mental health courses is to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills to enhance their mental well-being, foster healthier relationships, and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
Lifestyle Coaching
Lifestyle coaching is a personalized, goal-oriented approach that focuses on helping individuals make positive changes in their daily habits and routines to improve their overall well-being. A lifestyle coach works collaboratively with clients to identify areas for growth, such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep hygiene, and work-life balance. Through motivational support and practical strategies, coaches empower clients to set realistic goals and develop sustainable practices that align with their values and aspirations. Ultimately, lifestyle coaching aims to foster a healthier, more fulfilling life by encouraging individuals to cultivate habits that enhance their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
A Bit About Therapy Friends
Hi! It's so good to see you here 💓
You deserve to live a full, authentic life that feels good. Yet, oppression & trauma often get in the way of that reality. It feels so hard to exist in a world that doesn't feel like it was designed for you.
At Therapy Friends, our mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces where individuals, especially from the BIPOC community & other marginalized identities, can heal, grow, and reclaim their full, authentic selves. We are committed to helping people break free from the oppressive narratives of unworthiness, inadequacy, and inequality and empowering them to step into lives filled with joy, self-worth, and well-being.
We envision a world where mental health care is empowering, inclusive, and tailored to the unique needs of every individual.

We believe in empowering not only our clients but also our staff and everyone we work with to trust themselves, advocate for their needs, and take ownership of their personal and professional growth. Our mission is to support each person in realizing their full potential.
At Therapy Friends, we are committed to making a lasting, positive impact on everyone we come into contact with. Whether through therapy, collaboration with colleagues, or community engagement, our goal is to contribute to healthier relationships, stronger communities, and greater well-being.
We are dedicated to promoting equity in every interaction—ensuring that all individuals, whether clients or team members have access to the same opportunities, resources, and support. We actively work to break down barriers and advocate for fairness in mental health care and beyond.
Emilee started Therapy Friends because she wanted something better for herself, her colleagues, and other therapists - a therapy space that dismantles & rejects white supremacy in the workspace, names power dynamics, and does everything it can to treat its staff & clients as humans.
